Made In The A.M is the band’s first release as a foursome, following the departure of Zayn Malik earlier this year, and is their fourth to top the Official Albums Chart after 2012’s Take Me Home, 2013’s Midnight Memories and 2014’s Four.
Made In The A.M.’s first-week chart sales of 93,189 make it the fastest selling album of 2015, beating the record previously held by Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’ Chasing Yesterday. It’s been a close race, but One Direction didn’t let anybody drag them down – they finished out in front of Justin Bieber to score their fourth Number 1 album with Made In The A.M.
